Other Interesting options: Bed and Breakfasts Surf City Hostel Beaches Transportation Getting to Redondo Beach is simple. We’re just 10 miles (13 km) south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and 14 miles north of Long Beach Airport. Vans, shuttles, taxis, rental cars and buses are available from the airport. Public transportation is available within Redondo Beach, as well as to all major visitor attractions through connections with LA’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority system. Airports The nearest airport serving major commercial carriers is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is only 10 miles north (13km) of Redondo Beach. Long Beach Airport (LGB) is 14 miles south http://www.longbeach.gov/airport and Jet Blue flies here. http://jetblue.com/wherewefly Shuttles Several companies operate shuttle vans between LAX, LGB and Redondo Beach. The charge is about $20 per person. Shuttles can be picked up on the lower level at LAX. Upon exiting the terminal, cross to the second curb and look for green shuttle/van signs. Transportation coordinators are available to assist you. In shuttles, several stops may be made before you reach your destination. Always confirm the cost and details of the transportation prior to leaving the airport. Use licensed operators only Taxis charge about $30 from LAX to Redondo Beach (including a $2.50 surcharge for each taxi leaving the airport.) Taxis are available on the lower level of the terminal at the first curb. Be sure to be specific about your destination with your shuttle or taxi driver. Tell them you’re going to Redondo Beach, and then give the address of your specific destination. Palos Verdes Limo has a nine passenger van that resides at our Plaza Riviera location in Redondo Beach http://www.pvlimo.com SuperShuttle LAX or LGB http://www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx?content=LosAngeles How to Get to SuperShuttle When You Land LAX - Claim your luggage, proceed outside and look for the orange “Shared Ride Van” sign located on the outer island. Contact our Guest Service Representative dressed in a blue SuperShuttle uniform and they will assist with your transportation needs. .LGB - Advanced reservations are required. Please call (800) BLUE-VAN (258-3826) to make your reservations. Once you have collected your luggage look for the transportation kiosk across from the main terminal in the rental car return lot, and let the agent there know you have a SuperShuttle reservation. Rental Cars Rental car agencies are accessible through locations at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Long Beach Airport (LGB), hotels and several locations in the South Bay area... Beach Cities Transit Southern Route #104 operates between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., on 70 minute headways and will serve the Redondo Beach Pier, the Riviera Village business and residential communities, South Torrance High School, MTA and Torrance Transit connections, and the Del Amo Fashion Plaza and surrounding employment area.
Pacific Coaster Route 109 operates between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., on 20-40 minute headways serving the Redondo Beach Riviera Village, Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach, Downtown Manhattan Beach, Downtown El Segundo, the Metro Aviation Greenline Station and the LAX City Bus Center.

Average high temperatures vary between 65°F to 72°F from winter to summer. Nearly continuous sunshine warms the air, while ocean breezes keep our skies sparkling clear. We do have some rain from time to time, but usually not much between April and October.
